Das is ABSPII Country Coordinator for Bangladesh. His main responsibilities
are to facilitate all ABSPII related activities in Bangladesh. Das
holds a Ph.D. from the University of the Philippines at Los Banos
(UPLB). Prior to joining ABSPII, he was involved in a number of projects
aiming at developing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies
against the major insect pests of tuber crops. Biopesticides such
as Bt, GV, among others, were components of these IPM. Other experiences
include the full responsibility of research management in the context
of a donor funded project as well as instruction at the University
level. |
