Dr. Muhammad Herman
 
  Dr. Herman has earned his B.S. in Entomology at the University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and his M.S. and Ph.D. (1990) in Plant Pathology from the University of Georgia, Athens, USA. He is currently the Head of the Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering of the Indonesian Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Resources Research Institute (IABIOGRI), in Bogor, Indonesia. Since 1997, Dr. Herman has coordinated the Plant Group of Biosafety and Food Safety Technical Team in Indonesia. He is currently the Head of the Biosafety Containment Facility, as well as the Secretary General of the Indonesian Society of Agricultural Biotechnology. From 1996 to 2002, Dr. Herman was Country Coordinator of ABSPI. He is currently Country Coordinator for Indonesia for ABSPII.
